Item 8.01 Other Events

On December 19, 2025, Centrus Energy Corp. issued a press release announcing that it has begun domestic centrifuge manufacturing to support commercial Low-Enriched Uranium (LEU) enrichment activities at its Piketon, Ohio, facility. The announcement indicated that Centrus plans to leverage a multi-billion-dollar uranium enrichment expansion to meet its growing backlog of $2.3 billion in contingent LEU sales under U.S. and international customer contracts, and stated that Centrus is also targeting future commercial-scale production of High-Assay, Low-Enriched Uranium.

The project is expected to create 1,000 construction jobs and 300 new operations jobs in Ohio, hundreds of new direct jobs at Centrus’ centrifuge manufacturing plant in Tennessee, and thousands more indirect jobs in Ohio, Tennessee, and across the country.
