Re-Opening of cooperation talks between United Internet, freenet and
Drillisch. Ad Hoc Hoc-Announcement in accordance with Section 15 WpHG:
Re-Opening of cooperation talks between United Internet, freenet and
Drillisch

Maintal, 3rd April 2008. The Drillisch AG, Maintal has reopened
today the talks regarding a strategic cooperation with freenet AG,
Büdelsdorf and United Internet AG, Montabaur which had been terminated on
November 19, 2007. As before, United Internet AG is still interested in
acquiring the internet/fixed line business and Drillisch AG is still
interested in acquiring the wireless telephone service provider business of
freenet AG. With regard thereto, the parties will enter into negotiations
of potential transactions which may also include a takeover of freenet AG
by MSP Holding GmbH which is jointly owned by United Internet AG and
Drillisch AG. United Internet and Drillisch aim at completing their
negotiations within the next two months. In the context of the current
consolidation of the telecommunication market, freenet AG is thereby
offered an alternative to the potential acquisition of debitel AG.
