Drillisch Rejects Accusations by Deutsche Telekom AG confirms EBITDA guidance of 52 million Euro for 2011

Drillisch AG / Key word(s): Statement/Forecast

07.11.2011 / 17:13

Drillisch Rejects Accusations by Deutsche Telekom AG

Any statement by Deutsche Telekom AG in a current news release as to the suspicion of serious fraud committed by Drillisch’s subsidiary Simply, has no substance. In particular Telekom’s allegation that Drillisch had ‘activated tens of thousands of mobile phone lines’ without underlying customer relations, is not true.

‘With regard to commissions paid by Telekom, Simply Communications GmbH has fully complied with agreements entered into with Telekom’, emphasizes Paschalis Choulidis, Speaker of the Board of Drillisch AG. Against this background, there is neither a legal basis for criminal prosecution nor for any claim that the commissions be repaid.

Drillisch AG’s management had made intensive efforts in the past few days and weeks, to clarify the situation with Telekom. After Telekom insisted on its incorrect position, Drillisch’s subsidiary Simply Communications GmbH already terminated the existing agreement on 3 November 2011, complying with the notice period. Apparently, Deutsche Telekom GmbH responded to this by now terminating the agreement itself without notice. Drillisch AG regrets that the situation has escalated and explicitly points out that the termination will not have any negative effects on the existing customer base of Simply.

The current and future profit estimates of Drillisch AG are not affected and will not be affected.

Further, we confirm our EBITDA guidance 2011 of EUR 52.
