The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. —————————————————————————— Drillisch AG: Growth business discountbrand simply – Net earnings €7,2 million Maintal 15, August (8:11 a.m.)- The mobile communications service provider Drillisch AG (ISIN DE 0005545503) increased its profitability in the second quarter of 2006. The EBITDA-margin already reached the target of 2007. Revenue of the second quarter 2006 reached €68 million a slight increase against the first quarter 2006. With 1,647 million subscriber (+10,000) the group reached H1-2006 sales of €135,1 million (H1-2005: €161,9 million). The German market was characterised by a decline in per minute prices (-12.6%) and a change in our prepaid segment. Drillisch therefore abandoned sales in this segment without marginal return. EBITDA reached €13,1 million in the first half of the business year (H1-2005 €14,1 million). EBITDA-margin reached 9.7% (H1-2005 8.7%). Net profit reached €7,2 million (H1-2005 €7,6 million). H1-Earnings per share matched last years €0.23. With these figures, the board affirmed its guidance for the business year 2006 i.e. 1,8 million subscribers and an EBITDA of €30 million and an earnings per share of €0.50 (2005: €0.45). All business segments did contribute to the results, notably our discount brand simly, which has a good accteptance.
