Ad hoc-Service: Drillisch AG english

Ad-hoc announcement sent by DGAP. The sender is solely responsible for the contents of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– Drillisch AG: Almost Twice the Number of Wireless Subscribers, EBITDA Doubled The Drillisch Group continued its dynamic growth during the 2000 fiscal year. The number of subscribers in its core Mobile Telephone segment almost doubled from 270,000 to 503,000 in this past fiscal year. The EBITDA of DM 11.1 million gained DM 12.1 million as it more than doubled to DM 23.3 million. The result of ordinary activities, adjusted for goodwill amortization, increased DM 10.5 million to climb from DM 1.0 to DM 11.5 million. Earlier sales revenues of DM 280.5 million jumped by DM 86.9 million to reach DM 367.4 million. The now ended fiscal year was marked by the restructuring of the group with a focus on the core Mobile Telephone segment and the promising Wireless Internet field of the future. Concentrating on the companys value performers will ensure an improvement in client structure from debit to credit and an increase in average revenues per customer. As a consequence, the unprofitable Fixed Network segment was sold off in line with these changes. The company also divested itself of the marginal fax and BOS-Funk fields. The restructuring was completed in January 2001 with the sale of the Broadband Cable segment. This new structure of the group has laid a clear foundation for the UMTS age. This excellent positioning puts Drillisch in tremendous shape for the future and affords it great leeway for dynamic growth. end of Ad hoc-announcement, (c) DGAP 14.03.2001 ———————————————————————– WKN: 554550; Index: Listed: Neuer Markt in Frankfurt und im Freiverkehr in Berlin, Bremen, Düsseldorf, Hamburg, Hannover, München und Stuttgart 140825 Mär 01
