Directorate Change

Jardine Matheson Holdings Limited (the 'Company') announces that, with effect from 15th June 2020, the roles of Executive Chairman and Managing Director, which have been held on a combined basis by Ben Keswick since December 2018, will revert to being separate roles.

Ben Keswick will remain as Executive Chairman and John Witt, currently Group Finance Director, will take on the role of Managing Director.

John joined Jardines in 1993 and held a range of senior roles across the Group's core businesses and geographies, including as chief financial officer of Hongkong Land and Mandarin Oriental, before being appointed to the Jardine Matheson Board in 2016. 

John will also be a director of Jardine Strategic Holdings Limited and the Group's listed subsidiaries, Hongkong Land Holdings Limited, Dairy Farm International Holdings Limited and Mandarin Oriental International Limited. He will also continue to be a commissioner of Astra and chairman of the Astra Excom.

Graham Baker will replace John as Group Finance Director and will join the Group on 1st June 2020 from Smith + Nephew in the United Kingdom, where he has been a board member and chief financial officer since March 2017.  Graham will join the Board of the Company.

Prior to joining Smith + Nephew, Graham worked for 20 years for AstraZeneca PLC in a range of senior roles in the UK and internationally, including in Japan and Singapore, and then as chief financial officer of generic pharmaceuticals company Alvogen.

Commenting on the changes, Ben Keswick said:
