Bureau Veritas acquiert le laboratoire d'essais de produits de luxe CERTEST

Wendel salue l'acquisition par Bureau Veritas de CERTEST, un laboratoire italien d'essais d'accessoires et vêtements de luxe.

Créé en 2004, CERTEST est basé en Toscane, une région qui concentre une grande partie de l'industrie textile et de la maroquinerie en Italie. Ce laboratoire fournit des services d'essais physiques et chimiques pour évaluer la sécurité et la qualité d'articles en cuir, chaussures, habillement et joaillerie pour le compte de marques internationales. CERTEST est un leader en Italie et dispose d'une forte part de marché. Il emploie 32 personnes et a réalisé un chiffre d'affaires de 3,5 millions d'euros en 2014.

Au niveau mondial, la demande d'essais de produits de luxe est en forte croissance et répond à des besoins d'évaluation indépendante, tout au long de la chaîne d'approvisionnement.

Cette nouvelle opération contribuera positivement à la création de valeur à long terme de Bureau Veritas, dont Wendel est l'actionnaire de contrôle avec 40,5% du capital.

Bureau Veritas acquires CERTEST, specialist in luxury goods testing

Wendel welcomes the acquisition of CERTEST, an Italian softline luxury goods and apparel testing laboratory, by Bureau Veritas.

Established in 2004, CERTEST is located in Tuscany, a key production center for leather goods and apparel in Italy. The laboratory provides physical and chemical testing services to luxury international brands to assess the safety and quality characteristics of leather, footwear and other softline products, including textiles and jewelry. CERTEST is a leader in Italy with a strong market share. CERTEST employs 32 people and generated a revenue of EUR 3.5 million in 2014.

At a global level, testing services for softline luxury goods are growing rapidly, driven by strong demand for independent specialist assessment services along the supply chain.

This transaction will contribute positively to Bureau Veritas long-term value creation. Wendel is the controlling shareholder of Bureau Veritas with 40.5% of its capital.
