Parrot Disco: You are a bird

Parrot Disco is an ultra-light wing-shaped drone. Controlled by autopilot, it is very easy to fly.

The sleek form and lightness (- 700gr) of Parrot Disco were designed to enable it to take flight as gracefully as a bird.

Parrot Disco is the first wing-shaped drone that you can pilot with no learning process.

Its auto-pilot and its many sensors (accelerometer, gyroscope, magnetometer, barometer, Pitot, GPS) permanently control its flight.

The take-off is automatic. You just throw the flying wing; it gains its altitude autonomously, and turns in the sky until you take control of it.

During the flight, the autopilot prevents any false maneuver which could bring the flying wing down. Parrot Disco is as easy to pilot as playing a video game.

Parrot Disco can reach the speed of 80 km/h (49.7 mph), without losing its stability.

Parrot POT: The robotic connected pot, indispensable friend to your plant!

Parrot POT is a robotic pot which measures and analyzes the parameters critical to wth. It takes care of everything: it waters the plant when necessary and notifies you when your plant needs more light.

Connected via Bluetooth Smart to your smartphone or tablet, Parrot POT will allow you to visualize and act on your connected plant via the dedicated application, Flower Power 2.0!

Parrot POT understands your plants

Parrot POT is a wireless robotic pot for indoor or outdoor use and designed to resist difficult climatic situations (rain, heat, from -10°C / 14°F to +55°C / 131°F).

Full of sensors, Parrot POT measures in real time and with precision, data essential to the good health of the plant including: soil moisture, fertilizer, soil temperature, ambient temperature and light intensity.

These data points are recorded every fifteen minutes and transmitted (every two hours) to the Parrot Cloud for analysis.

This analysis allows the POT:

• To manage the watering of the plant
• To alert the user in real time, on his smartphone or tablet, to the immediate actions needed, like adding fertilizer or moving the plant for optimum light;

Note: When the pot is not linked to the Flower Power 2.0 App, it still manages the automatic watering by applying the median parameters which are appropriate for the majority of plants.

Parrot POT takes care of your plants

Parrot POT is equipped with a 2.2L water reserve and with an irrigation system with four separate spouts, for consistent watering of the plant.

From the Flower Power 2.0 application, you choose the watering mode desired for your plant:

• The Pot manages autonomously the watering of the plant, including its water consumption, and automatically adapts according to its needs. The plant will always receive the right quantity of water, at the right time.
• The pot regulates the consumption of its water reserve in order to ensure up to one month of watering, without monitoring nor intervention from you. Ideal during vacation to maintain your plant s good health while you are away.
• Manual: You start watering with a click in the App. Your Pot blinks red when the reserve is empty.
• You define the rhythm of watering and the level of moisture of your plant.

Three parameters are to be indicated in the application:

• The trigging threshold of watering (in soil moisture rate)
• The target threshold after watering (in soil moisture rate)
• The time, in number of hours, before triggering the watering (once the trigging threshold is reached).

When the level of the water reserve becomes low, a red indicator

blinks on the pot and a notification push is sent via the application to the smartphone/tablet in close proximity.

Flower Power 2.0 App: your gardening assistant

Parrot POT is accompanied by a free application, Flower Power 2.0, for iOS and Android smartphone and tablets.

This application makes it possible to visualize and manage your connected garden and gives access to rich contents and expert advice for the maintenance of plants.

A very complete botanical encyclopedia

You select the plant to be monitored from a library of 8,000 plants.

o Scalable, this plant database has been developed with botanists and scientists, notably the Laboratories of Wageningen University in the Netherlands, and is regularly updated.

Each plant has its ID card: photos, origins, basic needs, practical advice and recommendations (for example, the required type of fertilizer).

Your connected garden accessible in a flash

When opening the application, the list of your connected plants POT (or monitored by a Flower Power wireless sensor).

You can consult in real time the data collected for each plant, in clicking on the icon corresponding to each parameter which will appear in green (all is well), orange (to be watched) or red (immediate action to be done).

Like a dashboard, , like trigger an instantaneous watering or define/modify the irrigation mode of a given plant.

• o Fertilizer, ambient temperature and light intensity are represented in the form of gages;
• o Soil moisture is represented with a transparent cross-section of the Pot, which also enables you to check the quantity of water remaining in the reserve.

Tested by universities and research centers

In order to ensure the greatest reliability of the POT, its sensors as well as the adapted and automated watering, Parrot called upon universities, botanists and scientists, notably The Research Center of Wageningen University in the Netherlands and the Center of Urban Horticulture at Washington University in the United States, so that they can collaborate with its engineers and subject the POT to real and extreme conditions.

70 POT were tested and are still tested over periods from 1 to 2 months according to the criteria to be studied, and the tomato, basil, olive- are among the plants having taken part in these tests.

First steps with Parrot POT

Install your plant.

First, remove the central part (soil pot) of the POT and remove the tab to activate the 4 AA batteries that are already inserted.

To repot your plant:

• Put soil in the ¾ of the pot.
• o Note: The botanical encyclopedia available from Flower Power App can give you advice on the fertilizer adapted to your plant.
• Put your plant in the center, vertically.
• Fill the empty parts with soil ( ).
• o Make sure you tamp the soil correctly in order for the plant to be correctly held and for the water to spread well.
• Fill the water tank (2.2 L max).

Indicate to your POT the plant it will monitor.

Download the free Flower Power 2.0 application on your iOS/Android smartphone or tablet. Create a plant:

• Indicate if the POT is inside or outside, and then enter the common or scientific name of the plant.
• o characteristics will help you identify it.
• Activate Bluetooth and associate the plant with your POT.
• Go about your business... Parrot POT takes care of everything.

Parrot POT sensors record the first data after 15 minutes of activation. (The first analysis will come after 24 hours.)

Thanks to the application and the POT t it is taking care of, it will be able to precisely adapt the watering to the plant needs and give it the right quantity of water at the right time. The POT will also be able to analyze the parameters crucial for a healthy growth of the plant in order to provide you with astute and appropriate advise and recommendations.

o BONUS! If the POT is not linked to the application, it will be able to manage the automatic watering of your plant by applying the parameters which are appropriate for the majority of plants. When the level of the water reserve becomes low, a red indicator blinks on the POT.
