The companies Gascogne Papier and Gascogne Sacs have received in their premices of Mimizan and Merignac, the visit of the European Commission.
The European Commission has launched a competition investigation concerning several producers of bleached and unbleached kraft paper and manufacturers of industrial paper sacks.
Gascogne Papier and Gascogne Sacs cooperate fully with the European Commission, consider not to be involved in possible cartel practices and pretend to act on these markets in compliance with competition rules.
The investigation has no connection with the one at occasion of which Sachsa Verpackung was sanctioned by the European Commission for irregular conduct on the market for plastic sacks, behaviors initiated before Gascogne acquires this company in 1994.
