Linz, 29.12.2022: Kontron AG (www.kontron.com, ISIN AT0000A0E9W5, WKN A0X9EJ, KTN) announces that the closing of the sale to VINCI Energies S.A. of its IT services business in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Croatia, Serbia, Albania, Montenegro, Northern Macedonia, Germany and Switzerland took place today. Procedural challenges have delayed the planned sale of the Moldovan business. The proceeds of sale are expected to total EUR 392,3 million, of which EUR 255 million will be received already in 2022.

With this sale, Kontron is delivering on its 'Focus' and growth strategy in technology related to the Internet of Things (IoT).

The sales agreements with VINCI Energies S.A., which through its brand Axians, is a global information and communications technology group belonging to the listed French group VINCI, were signed on 10 August 2022. Following the granting of antitrust approvals and the organisational processing, the relevant companies will be legally transferred to the buyer with effect from 29 December 2022.
