The Bolloré Group has just been informed of the May 4, 2016 decision of the Supreme Court of Madrid – Criminal Section – confirming the April 14, 2015 decision of the First Provincial Court in Seville.

The decision upholds the guilty verdict handed down against Mr. Jacques Dupuydauby for the misappropriation of securities of Bolloré Group subsidiaries, notably in Togo and Gabon. It confirms Mr. Dupuydauby's sentence:

  • 3 years and 9 months in prison;
  • disqualification to serve as a director or to perform executive business functions;
  • more than €10 million in damages to the Bolloré Group.

The decision follows complaints filed in 2005 after the discovery of Mr. Dupuydauby's fraudulent activities.

The Bolloré Group has on numerous occasions been the victim of attempts to intimidate and slander it by Mr. Dupuydauby, who has also filed numerous legal complaints to damage the company's reputation, unfortunately all too often receiving an echo.

The Bolloré Group welcomes this final decision and the fact that justice has been served.
