The Board of Baronsmead Second Venture Trust plc (the "Company") is pleased to announce the appointment of Sarah Fromson as an independent Non-Executive Director of the Company, with effect from 1 October 2019.

Sarah is currently the Chair of JP Morgan Emerging Markets Income Trust PLC.

John Davies, Chairman of the Company, commented on the appointment:

''The Board believes that Sarah's extensive risk, governance and investment trust experience will provide increased breadth and additional expertise to the Board for the benefit of our shareholders''
