Director Resignation

Asiamet Resources Limited ("ARS" or the "Company") announces that long-serving Non-Executive Director Mr Raynard von Hahn has notified the Company that he is stepping down from the Asiamet Resources Board with immediate effect for personal reasons.

Mr von Hahn's area of expertise as a practicing securities lawyer in British Columbia, Canada has been particularly helpful in guiding the Company from a compliance perspective. In addition, Mr von Hahn continued to make valuable contributions at Board level on more general corporate matters.

A search has been initiated to find an appropriate replacement and will take into account the developing nature of the Company. This process is anticipated to take a number of months to complete.

Tony Manini, Asiamet's Executive Chairman commented: "Raynard has made a valuable contribution to the development of the Company over a number of years including the precursor company Kalimantan Gold.

In the more recent past Asiamet Resources has begun to evolve from a more grass roots explorer and shortly into copper developer. Following on from this, it will change again into being a copper producer. As part of this natural evolution Raynard has always provided sage and prompt contributions within the decision-making process. On behalf of the Board and the Company, I would like to thank him for his contribution as a Non-Executive Director and wish him well in his future personal and business pursuits."
