Share Purchase by Non-Executive Director

Cairn announces that on 19 May 2017, Iain McLaren, one of the Company's Non-Executive Directors, purchased 25,000 Ordinary Shares of 231/169 pence each in the Company at a price of £2.093311 per share.

Following this purchase, Mr McLaren's beneficial interests in the Ordinary Shares of the Company are as follows:-
