3i Group plc: non-executive Director appointment

Alexandra Schaapveld

3i Group plc announces the appointment of Alexandra Schaapveld as a non-executive Director with effect from 1 January 2020.

Alexandra Schaapveld is currently a member of the supervisory boards of Societe Generale S.A., Vallourec S.A. and The Netherlands Development Finance Company.  She is also a non-executive director of Bumi Armada Berhad in Malaysia.  She was previously on the boards of Holland Casino, VU University and VU Medical Center, Stage Entertainment and Duin & Kruidberg.

Prior to that Alexandra was Head of Global Banking and Markets in Western Europe for Royal Bank of Scotland and had previously worked for many years for ABN AMRO.

Simon Thompson, 3i Chairman, said: "We are very pleased to announce Alexandra's appointment to 3i's Board. She brings extensive financial services expertise in a number of important markets for 3i and significant board experience in a variety of sectors."
