Interests of PDMR in the Company's Shares

Share Purchase by Director of Exploration

Cairn announces that on 8 January 2016, Richard Heaton, Director of Exploration, purchased a total of 40,000 Ordinary Shares of 231/169 each in the Company at a price of £1.37 per share. Mr Heaton purchased 20,000 shares and his spouse Janet Barbara Heaton purchased 20,000 shares.

Following this purchase, the above mentioned PDMR's beneficial interests in the Ordinary Shares of the Company are as follows:-
