Contract Win

21st Century Technology plc (AIM: C21), the specialist provider of CCTV, monitoring and passenger information systems to fleet and network operators in the bus and rail industries is pleased to announce that its recently formed Passenger Information Systems (PIS) division has received a £0.6m contract to supply a number of its latest stretched Thin-Film Transistor (TFT) based high resolution passenger information display systems for a large UK local authority customer.

This is the first contract win for the PIS division which was formed in April this year following the acquisition of Region Services. Follow-on orders for the installation and ongoing maintenance of these new systems are anticipated in due course.

The initial order includes over 100 stretched TFT screens and associated software which are capable of emulating traditional Light Emitting Diode (LED) passenger information screens but which also have the capabilities to produce full-motion high definition graphical representations for broader multi-media content.

The display systems will be manufactured at the Company's expanded factory facilities in Coventry following relocation last month. They will be the first products to be produced using the new SAP based Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
