William Hill PLC (LSE: WMH) (William Hill or the Group) announces that Neil Cooper, Group Finance Director, has advised the board of his intention to leave William Hill to become Chief Financial Officer of Barratt Developments PLC. His contract with William Hill has a notice period of 12 months but his actual departure date will be confirmed in due course. In the meantime, Neil will continue with his existing responsibilities. The search for his successor will now commence.

Commenting on the announcement, James Henderson, Chief Executive Officer, said:

"Neil has been a key part of our management team since May 2010. During that time, he has built a strong finance and investor relations team and supported the Group's digital and international diversification. He leaves us in excellent financial health. On a personal note, I am grateful to him for his support and advice during my transition into the CEO role last year. On behalf of the Board, I wish him every success in his return to the housebuilding sector."

Neil Cooper, Group Finance Director, added:

"I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at William Hill over the last five years and am proud of the significant progress that we have made in cementing our UK leadership position and in expanding into Australia and the US. I wish James and the team all the very best as they continue to take William Hill from strength to strength."

The following disclosure is made in accordance with Section 430 (2B) of the Companies Act 2006. As Neil has resigned from his position, his termination arrangements will be consistent with the provisions in the Directors' Remuneration Policy in respect of voluntary resignations. The date that Neil Cooper will step down from the Board of William Hill PLC has yet to be determined. As part of the Directors' Remuneration Policy, the period of notice for executive directors does not exceed 12 months and, accordingly, the service contracts of the executive directors are terminable on up to 12 months' notice. Details of Neil Cooper's termination arrangements will be included in a separate announcement in due course and will also be available on the William Hill PLC website.
