Appointment of New Non-Executive Director

Lowland Investment Company plc is pleased to announce that following a thorough search and selection process, Mr Tom Walker will be appointed as a non-executive director to the Board with effect from 1 July 2019.  He will also serve as a member of the Company's Audit, Nomination and Management Engagement Committees.

He was formerly a Fund Manager with Martin Currie Investment Management, where latterly he headed up the global long-term unconstrained team and managed the Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc, a global investment trust with assets of £220 million.  

Robert Robertson, Chairman of Lowland Investment Company plc, said "the Directors and I are delighted to welcome Tom to the Board, bringing, as he does, valuable experience from his career in investment management".

Mr Walker is currently a non-executive director of EP Global Opportunities Trust plc and will be appointed as a non-executive director of JPMorgan Japan Smaller Companies Trust plc with effect from 29 July 2019.  He also has longstanding trustee experience with the Church of Scotland.

In accordance with paragraphs 9.6.13 (1) to (6) of the UKLA Listing Rules, it is confirmed that there are no additional details to be disclosed in relation to Mr Walker.
