IGas Energy plc ("IGas")

Scheme of Arrangement becomes Effective

The Board of IGas is pleased to note the announcement today by Dart Energy Limited ("Dart") regarding the proposed recommended acquisition of Dart by IGas by way of Scheme of Arrangement between Dart and its shareholders ("Scheme").

As announced by Dart yesterday, the Supreme Court of Queensland ("Court") issued orders approving the Scheme.  Dart has today announced that it has lodged a copy of the Court's orders approving the Scheme with ASIC, which makes the Scheme legally effective. 

The Scheme will now be implemented in accordance with the timetable announced yesterday.
