("IGas" or "the Company")

Result of Annual General Meeting and IGas approval of the acquisition of Dart

IGas Energy plc announces that at the Annual General Meeting of the Company held today, all resolutions were duly passed including resolution 8, in relation to the acquisition of Dart Energy Limited by the Company.

The shareholders of Dart will also vote on the proposed transaction on 10th September. The Board of Dart are recommending the transaction, and key shareholders have undertaken to vote in favour of the transaction, which, on completion will further underpin IGas's position as a national champion in delivering locally sourced energy for Britain.

On completion of the proposed transaction, IGas will have more than one million net acres under licence and operate on behalf of several major investors in British shale gas.

Further details of the proposed acquisition are outlined in the Scheme Booklet dated 23 July; which is available on both companies' web sites.
