Appoints New Non-Executive Director

The Board of Greencore, the leading international convenience food business, is delighted to announce the appointment of Ms. Sly Bailey as Non-Executive Director, with effect from today, 17 May 2013.

Ms. Bailey (51) is currently a Non-Executive Director of Ladbrokes plc and a Governor of the English National Ballet School. She was previously Chief Executive of Trinity Mirror plc and was also a Non- Executive Director of the Press Association, Littlewoods plc and EMI plc, where she served as Senior Independent Director.

Commenting on the appointment, Mr. Gary Kennedy, Chairman of Greencore, said: "Sly will bring deep operating knowledge, wide public company Board experience and an energy and insight to our agenda. Her appointment, together with the additions of John Moloney, Heather Ann McSharry and John Warren announced earlier this year, completes the reorganisation of the Board. We now have a strong, experienced, balanced Board to complement and challenge the executive team."
