Directorate changes

Ian Burke, Chairman

The Rank Group Plc (LSE: RNK) ("Rank" or "the Company") announces that, after 13 years with the Company, Ian Burke has notified Rank that he does not intend to stand for re-election as Chairman at the Company's Annual General Meeting on 17 October 2019.  The Senior Independent Director, Chris Bell, is to initiate a process to appoint his successor.  The Company will provide an update when appropriate.

Ian Burke joined Rank as Chief Executive Officer in 2006, becoming Executive Chairman in 2011 and Non-Executive Chairman in 2014. 

Ian Burke, Chairman, said: "I have enjoyed my time at Rank immensely and am extremely proud of what we have achieved as a company. I have decided to step down as Chairman in the knowledge that Rank has a strong management team and Board which will take the business forward through its transformation programme."

John O'Reilly, Chief Executive Officer, said: "Ian has played a key role at Rank for many years. I would like to thank him personally for his invaluable support and counsel since I joined the company last year."

Chris Bell, Senior Independent Director, said: "Ian has made a very significant contribution to Rank. The Board offers him its thanks and looks forward to continuing to work with him in the coming months."

Bill Floydd, Chief Financial Officer

Rank is pleased to announce that Bill Floydd, who joined Rank in November 2018 as Chief Financial Officer, will join the Board with immediate effect.

Rank confirms there is no information to be disclosed under the requirements of Listing Rule 9.6.13 in relation to this appointment.
