Amsterdam, 16 October 2025
Fastned, a leading European fast-charging company, has reported revenue related to charging of €31.5 million in Q3 2025, a 44% year-on-year increase. This stems from a 32% increase in sales of renewable energy, which rose to 46.8 GWh across 1.7 million charging sessions. Each of these three figures marks new quarterly records for Fastned. Gross profit for the quarter totalled €25.4.m, up 40% on Q3 2024. The company is currently issuing a third bond campaign of 2025, scheduled to close at the end of October.
The Fastned network continued to expand in Q3, with new stations opening all over Europe, including the company's first stations in Spain and a new visionary flagship station in Belgium.
Growth in EV stock across Europe continued apace: over one million new EVs have been registered in the EU so far in 2025. This strong quarter has also been influenced by increased holiday traffic during the summer season, as more drivers use Fastned stations to power their EV vacations.
In September, Fastned celebrated the official opening of two stations at Gentbrugge - the company's unique vision for all-electric, zero emissions highway service areas. The stations are located on the key E17 highway between the cities of Ghent and Antwerp, with approximately 26 million vehicles passing each year - making Fastned Gentbrugge the perfect place to stop and recharge on a trip between Amsterdam and Paris.
Each station offers drivers 16 charging points (and extra dedicated charging points for electric trucks) alongside a restaurant, a self-service shop open 24 hours, clean and accessible toilets and showers, and a children's play area, all set in a pleasant and sustainably-operated environment designed around people, not cars.
Fastned Gentbrugge showcases Fastned's concept for high-capacity, electric-only service areas offering the best charging experience, coupled with market-leading amenities and facilities, at key highway locations across Europe.
The opening was attended by a large group of distinguished guests and media and received significant exposure across online platforms, newspapers and television both in Belgium and abroad.

Fastned continued to develop its network across Europe with 17 new stations opened during Q3 in France, Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands and Spain.
At the end of Q3 there were 380 Fastned stations open to EV drivers in 9 countries, with 30 more locations currently under construction and expected to open over the coming months, in line with our projection of reaching over 400 stations in total by the end of 2025.
In Q3 we continued to acquire high quality locations at pace, as Fastned secured 20 new locations for development, with new contracts signed in 8 of our 9 operational markets.
Fastned also submitted an application for an 'indoor' charging hub in Aberdeen, to be placed inside a city warehouse. This would be a first for UK charging infrastructure, and another new Fastned design concept.
● In Switzerland, construction began on the first stations in the Italian-speaking canton of Ticino, connecting northern Switzerland with the city of Lugano and the busy border with Italy. As well as expanding our Swiss network, these stations fulfil our ambition of connecting the north and south of Europe by allowing EV drivers to travel between the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland and Italy - powered entirely by renewable energy from Fastned.
Fastned's increased pace of construction and continued ability to secure high quality locations is driving the expansion of our network and keeping us on track to hit our goal of 1,000 stations across Europe by 2030.
With over 50% of Fastned stations now located outside the Netherlands, our international operations are increasingly important in both established and new markets. Read more about how Fastned is getting started in Spain, Italy, Denmark and Austria here.
As a leading player in the European EV charging industry, Fastned brings expertise and advocacy to discussions with national governments, international institutions and industry
stakeholders. The intention is to help shape the industry and its regulation to drive innovation and ambition in Europe's transition to e-mobility
As part of his role as President of ChargeUp Europe, Fastned co-founder and CEO Michiel Langezaal participated in high-level discussions with President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, in September. This was the third such conversation under the Commission's Strategic Dialogue for the future of the automotive sector. In such discussions, Michiel represents the interests of the charging sector in relation to the electrification roadmap underpinning investments in the sector.
We also welcomed European Climate Commissioner Wopke Hoekstra to our new station in Gentbrugge, where we conveyed the importance of all-electric rest areas such as this and gave our view on what changes are needed to allow us and others (or the sector) to compete more freely across Europe and accelerate the e-mobility transformation.
''Our Q3 results show the continuing success of our concept - and the only way is up. Fastned is now a pan-European company, scaling fast and playing a vital role in Europe's transition, both on and off the road. As the road towards 2035 and an electric-only future becomes clearer, Fastned is in a great position to keep growing and leading the industry as a major European player in the charging market.''
