Changing conditions have had a major impact on the market, and digital advertising AG is also feeling the repercussions. In an effort to achieve profitability goals, digital advertising AG announced that it will introduce comprehensive restructuring measures at all enterprise levels. Called fit-for-the-future, this program calls for extensive cost-cutting measures, including personnel cutbacks, savings in material costs, and a restrictive investment policy. In the course of the third quarter of 2001/02, digital advertising will downsize the company, reducing the headcount by about 20 percent. Two thirds of these cutbacks affect administrative personnel. The program also mandates that marketing activities will be reoriented and intensified, and that organizational changes will be made. Though the present market environment precludes reliable performance forecasts, management expects the company to achieve a positive result in the fourth quarter of the current fiscal year.
