In the 2nd quarter of the 1999/2000 fiscal year (ending September 30), SZ Testsysteme AG, Amerang bei Wasserburg, generated the highest quarterly sales in the company’s history at DM 17.3 million. In comparison to the previous year (DM 10.1 million), sales rose by more than 70 percent. For the entire first six months of the fiscal year, growth was just under 50 percent (from DM 20.1 to 29.9 million). The company recorded extraordinarily positive developments on the earnings side: Both the results from ordinary activities of approximately DM 1.95 million and the EBIT of approximately DM 1.94 million were significantly improved from the second quarter of the previous accounting year by DM 2.6 million and DM 2.4 million respectively. The earnings per share of SZ Testsysteme AG in the second quarter reached some DM 0.29; in the previous year, it had still been negative. In the first quarter SZ’s results from ordinary activities were just under DM 3 million, representing a DM 3.9 million increase over the previous year.
