Für den Inhalt der Mitteilung ist allein der Emittent verantwortlich. —————————————————————————— AHT überschreitet erstmals die Milliarden-Umsatzgrenze Fortsetzung der positiven Umsatz- und Ertragsentwicklung im 3. Quartal 1998, Auch nach Abschluß des 3. Quartals 1998 liegen Umsatz und Ertrag der Austria Haustechnik AG deutlich über dem Ver- gleichszeitraum 1997. In den ersten 9 Monaten steigerte sich der Umsatz im Vergleich zum Vorjahr um 40,3 % und zwar von 648 Mio ATS auf 909 Mio ATS. Die Ertragsentwicklung liegt nach wie vor deutlich über der Umsatzentwicklung. Das Ergebnis der gewöhnlichen Ge- schäftstätigkeit (EGT) konnte in den ersten 9 Monaten im Vergleich zu 1997 um 100 % von 43,15 Mio ATS auf 86,43 Mio ATS gesteigert werden. Der Gewinn nach ÖVFA stieg um 90,8 % von 33,854 Mio ATS auf 64,587 Mio ATS. Hauptursachen dieser überaus positiven Entwicklung liegen sowohl in der guten Umsatzentwicklung vor allem im Geschäftsfeld Supermarkt (Mengenzuwachs von über 60 %) aber auch in den Geschäftsfeldern Eiscreme und Industrielle Zulieferung (jeweils ca. + 20 %). Darüberhinaus konnten substantielle Verbesserungen in der Kostenstruktur erreicht werden. Die Investitionen liegen mit ca. 33 Mio ATS derzeit noch unter dem Vorjahresniveau (39 Mio ATS). Dies ist darin begründet, daß der Großteil der Investitionsausgaben für eine neue Produktlinie für Eiscreme erst im letzten Quartal 1998 bzw. im ersten Quartal 1999 abgerechnet bzw. verrechnet werden wird. Für das Gesamtjahr 1998 erwartet die AHT eine Fortsetzung des positiven Trends. Oktober 1998 überschritten wurde. AHT broke the one billion turnover sound barrier Continuation of the positive turnover- and profits development in the 3rd quarter 1998, Even after the end of the 3rd quarter 1998, turnover and profits of Austria Haustechnik AG are substantially higher than in the same period of 1997. During the first 9 months, the turnover was increased by 40,3 % as against last year, in figures from ATS 648 million to ATS 909 million. The development of profits still exceeds considerably the development of turnovers. The results of general business activity could be increased by 100% from ATS 43,15 million to ATS 86,43 million. Profits according to ÖVFA rose by 90,8 % from ATS 33,854 million to ATS 64,587 million. The main reason for this explicitly positive development lies both in the good turnover development – above all within the retail sector (quantity increase of more than 60%) but also in the ice cream- and industrial subcontracting sector (approx. +20% each). Moreover, substantial improvements could be achieved in the cost structure. Whilst investments of approx. ATS 33 million are below the level of last year, this can be contributed to the fact that a large part of investment expenditure for a new ice cream cabinet product line will be accounted for only in the last quarter of 1998 resp. in the first quarter of 1999. For the whole year of 1998, AHT expects a continuation of the upward trend.
