Description

Picard Medical, Inc. is a medical technology company operating through its wholly owned subsidiary, SynCardia Systems, LLC. The company develops, manufactures, and commercializes the SynCardia Total Artificial Heart (STAH), a device for patients with end-stage biventricular heart failure who are awaiting a heart transplant. The STAH is the only commercially available total artificial heart with approval from both the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and Health Canada. The system, which has over three decades of proven clinical use, is available in multiple sizes and is supported by hospital-based and portable external driver systems. SynCardia is also developing the next-generation, fully implantable Emperor System to eliminate external components. Picard Medical serves as a platform for the consolidation of cardiovascular-related medical device technologies.
