We can no longer imagine a world without electricity. When Lechwerke was founded over 100 years ago, however, things were very different: back then, power generation and distribution were still in their infancy. The construction of the first hydroelectric power plant in Gersthofen in 1898 marked the beginning of an important company for the region. Men with vision built hydroelectric power plants and established an electricity grid. Our company did pioneering work in this field and is therefore inextricably linked with the history of Bavarian-Swabian power supply.

The LEW Group operates as a regional energy supplier in southwestern Bavaria. We focus on regional identity, climate and environmental protection, and economic development.
