International School Augsburg opened its doors to students for the first time in September 2005. From a starting enrolment of 65 local students, the school has grown to a fully-established, successfully accredited K-12 school with a enrolment of 350 students from 30 countries. Several members of the teaching staff including the current Director of Education have been with the school since its foundation, providing stability and continuity of vision.

ISA was an initiative of the Schwaben Chamber of Industry and Commerce. In its 13 years of existence it has established a very positive reputation. The school continues to grow, with the high school being the largest and fastest growing section of the school. More than a hundred young people have graduated successfully. Many have attended reputable universities and are pursuing careers across the globe. A high percentage of alumni have chosen careers in the fields of science or art.
