Index Description

The Swiss Market Index (SMI) is Switzerland's principal stock market index , which tracks the performance of the 20 largest and most liquid stocks traded on the SIX Swiss Exchange, the country's main stock exchange. The SMI is a free float-adjusted market capitalization-weighted index, which means that the stocks with higher market capitalization have a higher weight in the index.
