About Taipei Exchange
The Taipei Exchange (TPEX), formerly known as the GreTai Securities Market, is Taiwan’s over-the-counter (OTC) securities market. Established in 1994, TPEX provides a platform for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), innovative startups, and bond issuers to access capital markets more flexibly than on the main Taiwan Stock Exchange. It plays a vital role in supporting emerging industries and fostering financial innovation in Taiwan.
TPEX operates under the supervision of the Financial Supervisory Commission (FSC) and conducts trading in New Taiwan Dollars (TWD). It offers markets for stocks, bonds, derivatives, and exchange-traded funds (ETFs), contributing to the overall depth and diversity of Taiwan’s financial system.
