About Philippine Stock Exchange
The Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) is the national securities exchange of the Philippines. It was created in 1992 by merging the Manila Stock Exchange (founded in 1927) and the Makati Stock Exchange, and today is headquartered at the PSE Tower in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig. The PSE operates an electronic, order-driven market and sets listing and disclosure rules for issuers. Its flagship benchmark is the 30-constituent PSE Composite Index (PSEi), which tracks the market’s largest and most actively traded companies. The exchange demutualized in 2001 and listed its own shares in 2003, reflecting its shift to a modern, shareholder-owned market operator.
