About Belarussian Currency and Stock Exchange

The Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange (BCSE), established on March 4, 1993, is the principal financial marketplace in Belarus. Initially founded as the "Interbank Currency Exchange" by 18 commercial banks, the BCSE has evolved to support a wide range of financial instruments including currency, securities, derivatives, and government bonds.

The BCSE operates in multiple currencies, primarily the Belarusian Ruble (BYN), but also facilitates trading in major foreign currencies such as the US Dollar (USD), Euro (EUR), Russian Ruble (RUB), and Chinese Yuan (CNY). This allows for a diversified and robust trading environment that caters to both domestic and international investors.

The BCSE's ownership comprises the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus, various commercial banks, and other financial institutions, reflecting a broad-based support and governance structure.
