Deutsche Beteiligungs AG is a listed private equity company. We initiate closed-end private equity funds – DBAG funds – which enable institutional investors to invest in the equity or equity-like instruments of unlisted companies. DBAG advises or manages these funds. That means DBAG identifies, analyses and structures investment opportunities. We negotiate investment agreements, support the portfolio companies during the time of our investment and shape the disinvestment process. Employing our proprietary capital, we co-invest alongside these DBAG funds. A share in DBAG thereby creates access to a portfolio of unlisted companies and, at the same time, to a successful fund investment services business.

Our focus is on German Mittelstand companies. These mid-market businesses are the backbone of the German economy. We feel committed to them. Their business models and markets have been the focus of our work for decades.
