Aker Horizons was established in July 2020 as the Aker group’s spearhead to decarbonize industry on a global scale. We incubate, develop and exercise active ownership in companies that can meaningfully reduce CO2 emissions, while creating substantial value over time.
Aker Horizons takes a diversified approach to decarbonization. Our core areas consist of renewable energy, carbon capture and hydrogen – three key levers to achieve net zero by 2050. We develop industrial-scale decarbonization projects, taking an integrated value chain approach centered around clean hydrogen and its derivatives, such as green ammonia and direct reduced iron (DRI). We exercise active ownership to create values, combining industrial, technological and capital markets expertise with a planet-positive purpose.
