Méthanor finances agricultural methanization units and valorizes the biogas produced.
Agricultural methanization is a natural chemical process of transformation of organic matter (mainly livestock effluents), which allows the production of heat, electricity and a natural fertilizer from local waste. As such, it is part of a virtuous logic of sustainable and profitable development.
The merit of agricultural methanization is that it is both a very profitable source of renewable energy production and an alternative way of treating organic waste (limiting green algae, reducing the "nitrate" pressure on soils and water tables).
Founded by professionals in the financing and development of renewable energies, Méthanor hopes to finance and operate some thirty agricultural methanization units by the end of 2014.
