Item 2.02 Results of Operations and Financial Condition

WesBanco, Inc. issued a press release today announcing earnings for the three and six months ended June 30, 2018. The press release is attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this report.

WesBanco, Inc. will host a conference call to discuss the Company's financial results for the second quarter of 2018 on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. ET.

Item 8.01 Other Events

On July 23, 2018, the shareholders of Farmers Capital Bank Corporation ("FFKT") approved the merger through adoption of the previously announced Agreement and Plan of Merger, pursuant to which FFKT will merge with and into WesBanco, Inc. WesBanco, Inc. and FFKT expect that the closing of the merger will occur later in the third quarter of 2018.
