The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– Majority holding purchased in an automotive engineering company voestalpine motion GmbH, a subsidiary of voestalpine AG, which is listed on the Vienna Stock Exchange, has concluded the purchase of an 80% holding in Horst Matzner Holding AG with HMV GmbH of Bissendorf/Osnabrück (Germany). In future, the previous owner, HMV GmbH, will retain a 20% share in Horst Matzner Holding AG. Horst Matzner Holding AG is an engineering company, which is focused on the automotive industry and in particular, the body in white and chassis. Its range of service competences extends from conceptual development and design, to jigs and tooling design and the production of prototype components. In addition, the company possesses several locations in the proximity of selected automotive customers. In the 2000/01 financial year (as per September 30) the company had sales of some EUR 50 m and employed a work force of just over 600. Confidentiality has been agreed with regard to the purchase price and the detailed conditions relating to the take-over of a share package. With this latest acquisition, division motion has passed another important milestone en route to the implementation of the voestalpine Group automotive strategy.
