Second Rig to be mobilised next week
Astro Resources NL ( Astro or the Company ) (ASX:ARO) is to pleased to provide an update on its drilling campaign at its Governor Broome mineral sands deposit.
The initial drilling is focusing on 2 key areas outside the established JORC resource area (as detailed in the attached map).
More than 1,700 metres of drilling has been completed with visual confirmation of heavy mineral occurrences in most holes drilled to date. Laboratory analysis will determine those areas with potential for additional resources.
It is expected that a total of 3,000metres will be completed prior to the mobilisation of a second drill rig in the coming week.
Executive Director, Robert Hyndes stated: “ We are pleased with the progress of the drilling program,
and are very encouraged with the early confirmation of heavy minerals to the south and east of the existing JORC resource area.”
“The mobilisation of the second rig next week will significantly increase the work rate and allow the completion of all the work programs on time and on-budget.”
