Veidekke, Ferd and Fabritius to develop industrial estate at Gardermoen

Veidekke Eiendom joins forces with Ferd Eiendom and Fabritius Gruppen to develop a logistics and industrial estate approx. 360 decares in size near Gardermoen in Akershus.

Veidekke owns the site which is currently occupied by Hovinmoen Grustak, and has produced aggregates and asphalt there since 1967. This property will now be merged with the neighbouring site, owned by Ferd, and will become part of a newlyestablished company. Fabritius will join as an equal partner in the company. The parties will own 1/3 each.

"One of Veidekke's focus areas is the development of logistics properties, and we're pleased to pool our overall expertise with competent partners such as Ferd and Fabritius," says Veidekke EVP Jørgen Wiese Porsmyr.

The new logistics and industrial estate company will have an advantageous geographical location close to Gardermoen Airport, and there are specific plans for how the area will be developed, with the possibility of approximately 110,000 m2 of new buildings.

The transaction results in an accounting gain of approx. NOK 70 million, and will be incorporated in Veidekke Industri's results for Q4 2017.
