Jean-Paul Mindermann appointed new Business Area President at the Trelleborg Group

Jean-Paul Mindermann has been appointed as the new Business Area President of Trelleborg Industrial Solutions, starting preliminarily July 1, 2017. He succeeds Mikael Fryklund, who leaves Trelleborg and will assume the position as President and CEO of Hexpol. Like his predecessor, Jean-Paul will be a member of Trelleborg Group Management.

Jean-Paul Mindermann is born in 1965 and is of Spanish and German nationalities. He has been in charge of the successful development of the global operations of industrial and construction tires since joining Trelleborg Wheel Systems in connection to Trelleborg's acquisition of Watts Tyre Group in 2011. His previous experiences include being the chairman of Premia Group and various management positions within Watts of Lydney Group and Airboss.

"We are delighted to be able to promote Jean-Paul. He is a true international manager, having lived and operated globally across multiple industries. In addition, he has an extensive and solid experience from many of Trelleborg's profiled areas, including structural improvements, growth initiatives, acquisitions and truly global operations. I am personally excited to have the opportunity to continue the successful development of Trelleborg Industrial Solutions together with Jean-Paul," says Peter Nilsson, President and CEO of Trelleborg.

"It is with great pleasure that I have accepted this assignment. I am committed to taking on this new responsibility, leveraging experience from other parts of the Group," says Jean-Paul Mindermann.

Mikael Fryklund has been Business Area President of Trelleborg Industrial Solutions since its creation in 2012, and has been part of Trelleborg for the past 15 years in various positions.

"I would like to thank Mikael for the solid work that he has done for the business area and for the Group. His operational hands-on experience and skills in managing a diverse business like Trelleborg Industrial Solutions, have been invaluable. I am sorry to see Mikael leave, but I do of course wish him all the best in his new role," concludes Peter Nilsson.
