Press release Trelleborg, May 30, 2011

Patrik Romberg new Senior Vice President Corporate Communications at Trelleborg

Patrik Romberg has been appointed new Senior Vice President Corporate Communications at the Trelleborg Group effective October 1, 2011. He will succeed Viktoria Bergman, who will be leaving on September 30, 2011.

Patrik Romberg, who has been with Trelleborg since 2006, is currently responsible for a product area at Trelleborg Engineered Systems. Prior to that, he was HR Manager at Trelleborg Engineered Systems. Patrik Romberg has long-standing experience of communication and HR-related matters from such companies as Unilever.

"I am pleased that we were able to find a suitable successor to Viktoria internally, and someone who knows our operations inside out through operational work and broad exposure to large parts of the Group," says Peter Nilsson, President and CEO of Trelleborg. "It is regrettable that Viktoria is leaving us, and I wish her every success and thank her for the powerful contribution she has made to the Group's development. Under Viktoria's management, the focus on business-supporting communication efforts has been enhanced, not least through successful brand-building and digital communication. She has also been a strong driving force in the establishment of our corporate responsibility work.

"It feels extremely stimulating being given an opportunity to continue building upon the communication efforts that have led, among other results, to Trelleborg being rewarded for its communication both internationally and in Sweden in a variety of contexts," says Patrik Romberg. "I will further focus on integrating communication efforts in support of the development and growth of the Group's operational activities."

Viktoria Bergman has worked in the Trelleborg Group since 2002 and has been a member of Group Management since 2005.

"I have spent nine very intense and exciting years at Trelleborg, a time when we have been driving a number of change processes," says Viktoria Bergman. "Trelleborg is now a modern industrial Group with an increased global presence in selected market segments and we have created a global brand. I now want to take on new challenges. What that will be, I have not yet decided. After I leave in the autumn, I will first take a long vacation."
