Topdanmark — Major Shareholding Notification 2013

If has informed Topdanmark that in accordance with the EU Merger Regulation If
has filed a notification with the EU Commision regarding If’s stake in
Topdanmark.

A notification filed with the EU implies that the EU will assess whether If’s
stake in Topdanmark is unproblematic in terms of competition or whether If’s
stake will have such negative influence on competition that either the stake
will not be permitted or only be permitted if If accepts modifying measures
such as disposal of specific areas or similar measures.

As announced in company announcements Nos. 09/2013 and 11/2013, If owns at
present 25.18% of the share capital in Topdanmark. Sampo / If have not bought
shares in Topdanmark since May 2011.
