Company Secretary Appointment

The Board is pleased to announce that the Company's Chief Financial Officer, Mark Dowding who joined the business last year has been appointed Company Secretary with immediate effect.

Mark, who holds a Master of Business Administration degree, is a Member of The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and also a Member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.  He qualified in 1991 with a leading firm of accountants and, prior to joining the Company Mark was an audit partner with a Top 20, UK accountancy firm.  During his career he has gained extensive knowledge and experience in, company secretarial, legal, accounting and corporate finance work as well as having previously acted on a wide range of matters for a number of publicly quoted companies, as an internal and external adviser.

Commenting on the appointment, Richard King, Executive Chairman said:

"Since joining the business in 2012 Mark has been involved with the company secretarial, legal and insurance functions at both Group and trading subsidiary levels.  On behalf of the Board and colleagues I am delighted with Mark's appointment; it is a natural progression for him to take on this role and his experience will further strengthen the overall effectiveness of our management team."

Following this appointment, Kiran Shah, who has been responsible for Group secretariat activities since the Group's incorporation in 1995, relinquishes this additional role and continues with his responsibilities as Group Finance Director and Joint Managing Director.
