Telstra announces resignation of Admiral Bill Owens
In light of his appointment as President and Chief Executive Officer of Nortel Networks Corporation, Admiral William Owens has resigned as a director of Telstra with immediate effect.
Mr John Ralph, interim Chairman of the Board, said Admiral Owens was a very good director and had made an excellent contribution to the deliberations of the Board. Mr Ralph regretted that Admiral Owens' new responsibilities required him to leave the Board but wished him well in his new role.
