Reverse Stock Split – Record Date and Effective Date

On December 18, 2008, Tefron Ltd. ("Tefron") filed a proxy statement for the convening of a special shareholders meeting of Tefron for the approval, inter alia , of a reverse stock split pursuant to which every ten ordinary shares of Tefron, NIS 1.00 nominal value per share, shall become one ordinary share with a nominal value of NIS 10.00. The shareholder meeting is scheduled to be held on January 20, 2009.

Tefron hereby notifies that, subject to the approval of Tefron's shareholders of the reverse stock split, the record date for the reverse stock split shall be the end of the trading day on January 21, 2009, and the reverse stock split shall be effected on January 22, 2009 prior to the opening of trade on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.

This report is filed during the period during which Tefron's shares are no longer traded on NYSE and it is not clear whether Tefron will be able to list its shares for trading on another U.S. exchange recognized for purposes of continued reporting under the dual listing rules (Chapter E3) of the Israeli Securities Law of 1968.

This Form 6-K is hereby incorporated by reference into Tefron Ltd.’s Registration Statement on Form F-3 (Registration No. 333-128847) and its Registration Statements on Form S-8 (Registration Nos. 333-139021 and 333-111932).
