Tate & Lyle PLC (the ‘Company’) announces that it was informed yesterday that on 15 June 2017 the following transactions occurred by Persons Discharging Managerial Responsibilities (‘PDMR’) in respect of their interests in ordinary shares of 25 pence each in the capital of the Company (‘Shares’) under the 2012 Performance Share Plan (‘PSP’) and Restricted Share Award (‘RSA’) as detailed in the table below:

Awards made under the PSP are subject to the satisfaction of performance conditions over a three year performance period, which in this case ran from 1 April 2014 to 31 March 2017 (the ‘2014 PSP’)
| 1 | The number of nil-cost options exercised by Mr Ahmed includes 152,792 nil-cost options made under the 2014 PSP and 29,148 nil-cost options made under the PSP granted in 2013 (the ‘2013 PSP’). Awards made under the 2013 PSP were subject to the satisfaction of performance conditions over a three year performance period from 1 April 2013 to 31 March 2016. Following the transactions, Mr Ahmed now has an interest in 3,194,977 Shares. | |||
