Tarkett optimizes its financing sources with an inaugural €300 million Schuldschein
Paris, June 21st, 2016
Tarkett, a global leader in innovative and sustainable solutions for flooring and sports surfaces, is pleased to announce the successful issuance of a Schuldschein (German-law private placement) of €300 million.
This financing includes tranches with maturities of 5 and 7 years and provides a mix of fixed and variable rates.
This Schuldschein was initially launched for an amount of €150 million and was then increased to €300 million in order to respond to a very high demand. It was subscribed by a large variety of institutional investors and banks from Europe and Asia.
This transaction allows Tarkett to diversify its financing sources. It also strengthens the Group's financial structure by extending the average maturity of its credit facilities, while benefiting from a favourable interest rate environment. The funds will be used primarily to refinance an existing loan.
