Chair’s Address: 2021 Annual General Meeting

Good afternoon,

It has been my pleasure and privilege to serve another year as the Chair of Talga. Some of you may know that I’ve been with Talga since 2017. In this time, we’ve been through challenges, but the achievements of the last 12 months show how much potential lies ahead for this fantastic global business. We have never been closer to enabling the world’s most sustainable batteries.

Over the past year, the board and management have worked closely to refine strategy and deliver on key milestones. Whilst challenges resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic created obstacles and caused some delays, everyone from management down has worked hard to offset disruptions by finding new ways to communicate and collaborate.

The past 12 months continued to highlight the vulnerability of global supply chains and presented opportunities for new partners, and most importantly, new customers and commercial engagements. Following the formal business of the meeting, our MD Mark Thompson will present an overview of your company’s progress over the past year and provide a preview of plans for the future.

It’s clear the world is changing, and Talga is at the forefront of that change. We’re taking the world’s highest-grade graphite ore body and turning it into innovative products with the potential to have a serious positive impact on the world’s decarbonisation efforts. When used in electric vehicle battery manufacturing, our anodes will play a role in saving millions of tonnes of carbon dioxide from being released to the atmosphere.

Electric vehicles are just one application for our graphitic products. There is interest from

a wide variety of existing and potential customers across multiple sectors.

Of course, building a new supply chain from the ground up isn’t going to be easy, but

nothing worth doing is.

What do you need for a business like Talga to be successful in this instance? You need people. So, I would like to commend the Talga management, my fellow Directors, and entire team on a fantastic 12 months of achievements. I would also like to thank my fellow shareholders for their continued support on this journey as the global energy transition continues to accelerate.

Terry Stinson,

Chair, Talga Group
